Cocoa Beach Fishing Pier at Sunrise
Cocoa Beach, Florida is a wonderful place to visit and the Cocoa Beach Fishing Pier during sunrise at low tide provided a excellent opportunity for me. The sunrise was a bit hazy, but Cocoa Beach Fishing Pier is a icon. Low tide provided just enough standing water to allow for the reflection to just beam back up.
We visited my brother in law and his family in Melbourne, Florida this past weekend for my niece’s birthday. We were scheduled to come back home Sunday morning, but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to shoot a sunrise at the pier. I arrived just before sunrise and got some blue hour shots, just before the sun came up.
The photo above was three exposures at -2,0,+2 and tone mapped in Photomatix Pro for HDR. The tone mapped image was brought into Adobe Lightroom for some color balancing and lighting adjustments. That image was imported into Adobe Photoshop where adjustments were made to the curves and levels. Finally, adding some sharpening to keep points of the photo.
